For Pride Month 2026, streaming services are notably quiet on new scripted shows and films featuring lesbian, bisexual, queer women, or trans characters. While some new LGBTQ+ content emerges, the selection for these specific communities remains notably poor, according to Autostraddle. This disparity leaves a significant portion of the LGBTQ+ community without fresh narratives, suggesting queer women and trans individuals may continue to face a scarcity of dedicated stories during future Pride celebrations.
